Geosphere explanation

 GEOSPHERE EXPLANATION

The parts that make up our earth are called natural systems. There are four different types of natural systems which are the geosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and lastly the atmosphere. These spheres play crucial parts in our existence, and if they disappear there will be no life on Earth. I will be describing the geosphere, how it works, what it is, and what are the layers.

Geosphere is a name that scientists gave to all the rocks and layers of the Earth. Even though it sounds like we could live without rocks or the geosphere the Earth would not be here. The ground, hills, and any other part of the land that you stand on are created by the geosphere. What does the word Geo mean? Well, the word Geo means Earth it comes from Greek. Some people call the geosphere the lithosphere. Geo and lith mean similar things Geo means Earth and litho means stone.

You might ask what does the geosphere consist of? The geosphere consists of: soil, minerals, mountains, rocks, sand, hills, volcano, caves, canyons, craters, diamond, gold, and any other types of ores. Humans use the geosphere for their own need they use the land, mine in caves, and disturb the soil. The geosphere is important for human and animal extinction.

The layers of the geosphere are the layers that make up our Earth which are the inner core, outer core, mantel, and crust. The inner core is in the center of our Earth and it is the hottest layer. Next is the outer core and it is right over the inner core it is fully liquid, it is 2400 km thick and it is mostly made up of metal, nickel, and iron. After that is the mantle it is mostly solid and is the biggest part of the Earth's layers it is close to the size of the outer core it is approximately 2900 km. Now the crust the ground that all of us stand on. The thinnest layer is the crust because the thickest part is about only 30 km.

Overall the geosphere is very important for Humans, plants, trees, and animals extinct. Without the geosphere, the planet would not exist. So now do you know what the geosphere is what it is and what the layers are?

Volcano

Volcano

Adjectives, verbs, nouns, adverbs, and sensory details

? !   “”

Crash!!!! The lightning rapidly sprints around the dark murky sky as the volcano starts spitting out scorching fiery lava. Like vains lightning scatters around the sky making the stars look like they have disappeared from the entire night sky.

The thick smoke looks like it is making patterns and shapes in the sky. Thick shadowy smoke blinds my vision making it hard to see. Is that an animal running through the lava? It was just another puff of smoke making a strange shape. It takes up the entire sky covering the shiny stars so they can't be seen.

I can feel the warmth of the intense lava rising from the peak of the volcano. The trees sway uninformed of the danger hurtling towards them. I see the snow melting into water and steaming down the side of the volcano unable to handle the harsh heat of the lava. The mountains to the side look as if they are running away from the terribly destructive lava that is coming down the sides of the volcano.

Standing this close to the volcano made me feel scared for my life but at the same time, I could feel this strange little bit of excitement rushing through my body making me want to go closer and closer to the erupting, dangerous, and terrifying volcano. “It was nice to experience but I never want to do it again in my life.”

The race

   The race

Watching quietly from over the barrier, as the runners leap over the shakey hurdles trying to push themself closer and closer to the finish line. Squash splish splash, all you can hear as the runners urge closer to the end. The mud made it harder and harder to run. Footprints of the runner’s vibrant trainers are left behind on the disgusting uneven mud. The mud is as choppy as a wave crashing on a beach's sandy shore.  Suddenly something catches my eye. A little boy is running after the racers trying to catch up. “YAY” the crowd cheers!!

Further, in the distance, the trees sway as if they were cheering for all the runners. WOOSH. The autumn wind shakes the barriers as if they were vegetables getting pulled out of the ground by a farmer. Inside the doorway, people stand to get shelter from the strong frosty wind. Rattle Rattle the green roof shakes as the wind quickly goes past. The weather is not good for the race. The winds blow and pull hair plus hair on and off their faces consistently. Anxiously the crowd waits, they try to cheer but their voices get drowned out by the tremendous howl of the wind.

Like lions jumping for their prey, the runners soar over the worn-down hurdles. Thud. The runner’s trainers land on the hard terrain below the mud. This race will be amazing as everyone cheers for the hard-working runners. Like a million bugs climbing up your legs the mud slowly creeps up the legs of the sweaty runners. Silently the crowd watches as the runners agilely jump over the hurdles and down to the gooey disgusting slippery mud. sweat runs down their body as if it was raining heavily over them. Like sticky delicious icing coating, a cupcake mud gets smeared over their neon-colored trainers as they sprint towards the end of the race, again and again, they swiftly run and jump over the shakey dangerous hurdles. The runners try to push themself closer and closer to the finish line. At the end of the day, they all finished and their parents were so proud of them.
