Hundreds of years in New Zealand next to the ocean was a Maori village. There was a strong warrior called Maui he was starving because his older brothers were standing at the edge of the water with empty fishing nets and hiniki .There was a splash in the water Maui's waka was gone he screamed “Where did my waka go”!
Somewhere deep down in the ocean lurked an enormous eel. Tuna had been up to some mischief. She had been breaking all the wakas so the village could not steal her fish. So Tuna broke all the wakas with her tail, it was easy for Tuna because she was an electric tuna. There was no fish for Maui's village and the ginormous tuna was never hungry.

Maui thought that he could trick the tuna because he was a trickster. He was going to build another waka and make a trail of fish and put lots of fish in front of a humongous rock. Then bang a wooden cage right on top of the tuna but the tuna got out. Then Maui splashed into the water and sliced the tuna in half and the village feasted on the tuna and threw a party that lasted a week.
The tuna lasted 6 months the villagers were never hungry for their whole life. They celebrated as they heated up stones and cut the tuna up. They made lots made lots of new wakas.
